The Boat Race, Oxford-Cambridge 2001 A mess ? We had heard so much about how crazy it would be over there, but it appeared to be fine. Take the train early (9h15am), it is full but you can sit, be along the river at 11-11:30am latest to ensure the best places, after that, it get crowded extremely quickly.. We were a bit further down Hammersmith Bridge, where you will find a giant screen to follow what you can't see directly.
